This is a book about the coronavirus and disease prevention. The book explains scientific knowledge specifically COVID-19 in a way that is accessible to children in language and in plot. How does a virus invade the human body? What impact does it cause? After reading the book, children will be equipped with the knowledge to protect themselves and their families without fear.
After reading this book, children will learn:
‧How are viruses discovered? What are they consist of?
‧What effects or threats would viruses have on humans?
‧What are the viruses that infect humans? Where does the coronavirus come from?
‧How does the coronavirus spread? How does it invade our body?
‧What would happen to our body if we get coronavirus? How come some people do not feel any impact?
‧What can we do to protect ourselves?
‧What are the contributions of health care workers and scientists?
Author
Ingrid Y Liu
Ingrid Y Liu is the president and professor of TzuChiUniversity in Taiwan. She received her B.S. degree from NationalTaiwanUniversity, an M.S. degree in microbiology from IndianaUniversity, Bloomington, and a Ph.D. degree from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles.
Professor Liu has published several scientific papers and drew storybooks with her son. This is her first children’s picture book.
She hopes to introduce the knowledge regarding COVID-19 to parents and children in memory of the author of several popular children picture books──Dr. Chia-Huei Hsing.
Illustrator
Red Chen
Red Chen is a freelance illustrator and stay-at-home dad at present. He enjoys living in the vibrant and energetic city of Kaohsiung in southern Taiwan. He has illustrated numerous children's books and teaching materials for many publishing houses.
He hopes to bring the passion and vitality of southern Taiwan to all children and adults.

Jenny Lee is a teacher by profession, but a student at heart. She studied Religious Studies and Education at YorkUniversity in Canada, and received her M.A. from NationalDongHwaUniversity in Taiwan. She is currently a lecturer at TzuChiUniversity.
